New AMC Miniseries: "The Walking Dead"

I have a special soft spot for zombie movies. Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Night of the Living Dead, Zombieland, etc. -- all good stuff.

What's better than a two hour long movie about zombies? A six part miniseries dedicated to these flesh eating creatures directed by the one and only Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption). The Walking Dead is based on the popular comic by the same name. Its premise is similar to that of 28 Days in which a man wakes up in a hospital, totally unaware of the apocalyptic outbreak of a virus that renders all human beings into flesh eating, aggression ridden maniacs. He then goes out in search of his family and travels to Atlanta, where there is supposedly a large human presence which is protected by the military.
