New SATC2 Movie Poster: Holy Photoshop, Batman!

Yeah, it's looking a little wonky and jacked, but I'm still excited!

In the sequel, which hits theaters May 27, we fast forward two years and see Carrie and Big's marriage in jeopardy (and a reappearance of Aidan to mix things up), Samantha as the ever-loving cougar, Charlotte totally overwhelmed by motherhood, and Miranda... wait, what's different about Miranda here? Not much of her storyline is featured in the trailers, but I guess she's overworking herself? Ah, who am I kidding. I'm not watching this movie because I'm thinking things will be drastically different storyline-wise, I'm watching because these are my girls! It also doesn't hurt that my girls are dressed in some droolworthy clothes, shoes, bags, and jewelry.

Less than a month away, everybody! Time for a countdown.

Style Icon: Kate Lanphear

Rarely seen in a skirt or dress, US Elle Style Director Kate Lanphear, knows exactly how to mix masculine and feminine motifs while looking undeniably chic at the same time. It's impossible to look at her and not be insanely inspired. Her clothes are impeccable and edgy at the same time, but what really stands out is her amazing knack at accessorizing. She keeps it simple with great tees and blazers, and she knocks you out with her amazing accessories. Kate's aesthetic is so incredibly distinct and that cropped, asymmetrical cut, along with her Marc Jacobs sid punk bag, and her studded accessories will never go out of style on her. I've probably seen her carry that Marc bag hundreds of times, but she somehow always manages to look dynamic and I will never tire of seeing her carrying it. Wearing one or two accessories at a time are a thing of the past. Seeing Kate with her heavy baubles, exquisite leather strap watches, and spiked, studded bracelets make me want to wear accessories by the handful. Forget the models and celebrities-- every season, I'm looking out for Kate.

It's finally happening! "Monsters Inc.": the sequel!

Today, I am jumping for joy. Pixar has finally set an official release date for the much anticipated sequel of Monsters Inc., which also happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time. Mike Wazowski will always be near and dear to my heart, no matter how old I get, and now that they're returning with a sequel, I'll have even more of a reason to become a kid all over again.

There have been very strong indications that the sequel was a sure thing, but up until today, I wasn't fully convinced it was happening. Disney chairman Rich Ross made the announcement today in a meeting on the studio lot.

Monsters Inc. becomes only the second Disney Pixar movie ever to return with a sequel, the first of course, being Toy Story.

Set your calendars for November 16, 2012 and get ready for the return of Mike, Sully, and Boo!

Coco is with TBS commercial!

Look what popped up on my TV today during my daily workout routine and ritual of watching The Office on TBS, this awesome commercial featuring the famous 'I'm with Coco' graphic popped up. In the last second of the commercial, the text morphs into 'Coco is with TBS'. This is the first advertisement we've seen for Conan's much anticipated return to late night.

Shaking with excitement, kids, shaking with excitement!

Robyn's 'Body Talk Part 1' Singles Cover Art

Check out the newly released cover art from Robyn's three new singles, 'Fembot', 'Dancehall Queen', and 'None of Dem'. I'm currently obsessed with these. They really appeal to my aesthetic. Totally feeling it. Love Robyn, she can do no wrong.

Body Talk Part 1 comes out on June 15th. I'm so ready for all new Robyn. It's been a long time coming! Listen and buy her new singles, 'Fembot', 'Dancehall Queen', and 'None of Dem'! They're seriously fierce. Um hi Lady Gaga, it's time to move on over.

Designer Meets Disney

Okay, how fantastic are these? The April 2010 issue of Elle Spain features some of the greatest designers of all time as animated Disney characters. I can't even describe how much I love these! The first time I saw them, I literally yelped. Not even a little embarrassed about that, not even a little-- because these are just that amazing. My absolute favorite is Alber Elbaz -- how spot on is that? He's already quite the quirky, cartoon character in real life so it makes complete sense that he'd look adorable animated.

Check out Marc Jacobs and John Galliano. Who's that I spy in the background? None other but my favorite Disney character of all time, Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.! How much more perfect could this editorial get?

Enjoy the full editorial below!

Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace

Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs

Sonia and Nathalie Rykiel, Alber Elbaz

Dolce & Gabanna, John Galliano

Conan O'Brien joins TBS; crying tears of absolute happiness

Despite rumors of joining Fox's lineup, news is spreading like wildfire over Conan's new show on cable. The news comes with the anticipation of Conan's first show on his comedy tour, kicking off in Eugene, OR today. It's official! Conan will now join the budding late night lineup at TBS. He'll push George Lopez's show to 12am as he begins at 11pm eastern. Lopez contacted Conan himself and promised to move to midnight, insisting it was a great move, having him as his lead-in. Nice to see some promises of moving time slots can be kept. The show will air Monday through Thursday and is expected to begin production in November.

Shortly after the announcement, he twittered, "The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show".

This news comes as a total surprise as it was widely believed he would be at Fox's upfronts in May announcing a new late night show. However, rumors also arose that the affiliates were none to happy to be airing Conan in an 11pm time slot, considering many were bound by contracts to air syndicated comedies. No one expected a move to TBS, and barely anyone suspected he was amid talks for developing a show there last week. Frankly, I'm glad he's moving to cable television. I think it's a great move, and it'll undoubtedly lend him more creative freedom. I can't wait. I thought TBS did a fantastic job of marketing, promoting, and branding Lopez Tonight. If they can do the same for Conan, or perhaps go with an even more aggressive approach, then the show should be in great hands. I'm literally brimming with excitement!

Conan's short statement: "In three months, I've gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I'm headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly."

Who's ready to watch Conan on TBS come November?!

Wild Summer: The Resurgence of Print

Animal print has been on my mind lately, especially since seeing Giovanna Battaglia, the venerable L'Uomo Vogue fashion editor, in a mixed prints ensemble. At first glance it's a little crazy, a little wonky. At second glance, it's total genius. There's a lot of visual interest there and I admire a woman who's not afraid to be bold.

The resurgence of print on the runway this year definitely forecasts the presence of print in mainstream fashion this summer. Time to whip out your prints and sandals, because it's summer time! Donning prints can be a slippery slope from gorg to gaudy or from chic to cheap, but it's all about the art of balancing an outfit. Understated, not overstated. Someone needs to put that on a bumper sticker somewhere and turn it into an underground movement, or start a twitter hashtag, or you know, something equally as trendy. If anyone knows how to be bold with a print without going overboard, it's Giovanna. Gio mixes two loud prints, but the rest of the outfit is neutrally chic, and paired with the new amazing version of the Fendi Peekaboo, she's got that delicious pop of color. I love a great shade of pink with a print.

After an amazing mixed prints sighting, I feel like I've been noticing it everywhere I go, especially since it's popping up in editorials everywhere. My newest obsession is this V Magazine Spain April 2010 "Go Wild!" shoot featuring Masha Novoselova. As soon as I saw this editorial, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm not exactly sure if it's the infamous, insanely insane McQueen heels, the incredible attention to texture, or the beauty that is Masha Novoselova, but this editorial is epic and I am in love with it. How amazing is that spiky sweater? Sure, no one would ever be able to give you a hug, but it definitely ensures that no one will be sitting unbearably near you and getting all up in your business in tight, public transportation situations. Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a complete sucker for anything spiked or studded. I'd totally make my own occasion to wear that out.

Check out the shoot below.

Ready for more Sex ..and the City

I posted the first trailer for Sex and the City 2 way back in December and now we finally have a second trailer! With the May 27th release coming up soon, I'm sure we'll see a couple more clips and details trickle in. This movie will serve as a shiny new toy for me as I try to decipher and interpret all of Pat Field's work. Just from the trailer, I spy with my naked eye a little bit of Halston, Chanel, Christian Louboutin, YSL, Dior, and Valentino. Not too shabby so far.

Spotted: Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, and most importantly: the return of John Corbett, aka Aidan!

Avoiding the Indecency of Leggings as Pants: The Jegging

I'm a big fan of the legging, but strictly as leggings (i.e. worn under tunics and various other booty covering tops). I'm also a big believer in the leggings/tights are not pants movement. Can we just get this straight once and for all? Leggings are leggings, and pants are pants. It sounds simple enough, but I can't count the number of times I've seen handfuls of trendy 20, 30-somethings strut down the streets of L.A. like their butt cheeks weren't hanging out of their tops. Honey, it's just not a good look. I mean, I get the comfort, I get it. Above all, I'm a creature of comfort, and I understand the appeal of wearing leggings under any top, butt bearing or not, but ladies please, for the sake of saving ourselves from objectification, or just for the sheer sake of decency, put some pants on. All butts, or buts, (or puns?) aside, it's gotten to be a problem. We need to remember a time when we wore pants!

Now, I'm a skinny jeans girl all the way, but you and I have both experienced the effort of squeezing into a pair right out of the dryer. I'd like to refer to that as a sardine can situation. Or perhaps a sausage casing situation? No girl wants to look like she's busting out of her jeans.

So what do we get when a pair of denim skinnys and leggings morph together? Jeggings. Can I get a hallelujah? Jeggings are pants with a legging texture that have the same 5 pocket design and seaming as a pair of jeans, aka the answer to all your comfy skinny jeans dilemmas.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Citizens of Humanity Avedon legging jeans. They're perfectly soft and comfy, but yet they're just like your favorite pair of go-to skinny jeans. They have the same functional 5 pocket design along with seams and zippers. I'm obsessed and a total convert. I've stopped wearing my jeans and it's strictly a jeggings situation now.

Snag yourself a pair here for $163.

Other great alternatives that are less denim like in texture, and are more of a ponte knit pant:

True Religion Ponte Knit Stella, $184:
Hudson Double Knit Pant, $155:

As someone who refuses to pay full price in general, I suggest you equip yourself with coupon codes, or even pay a visit to Nordstrom Rack, where these have all been spotted for $79.98 and under. I managed to snag a few pairs by staying vigilant and keeping myself updated on sample sales. I've gotten a few pairs for $50 a pop at The Warehouse Sale, a traveling sample sale that sets up sales all over the country. For more info on LA-based sales, check out Bargains LA and RackedLA, my two fave bargain sites.
