It's official! Toy Story 3 has opened up to a huge $109 million weekend cumulative total, making it the largest Pixar opening ever. Its numbers toppled Pixar's previous biggest opening weekend, with 2003's Finding Nemo, which opened at $70.2 million. Toy Story 3 is currently holding a strong 98% at Rotten Tomatoes with only 3 rotten reviews, out of 165. It's pretty safe to say the latest installment of the Toy Story franchise is a roaring success, critically and financially. It also looks like the twenty-somethings who grew up with Toy Story 1 & 2 have revisited their childhoods and come back for the third movie. I know I have!
